IndexPage Competition 2006

Site Specific offered to all Digital Artists/Designers the opportunity to create the Index page of the website.

The prize for the winning Artist is a large monographic part inside the "Extras" of the website to introduce him/herself, an interview and some images dispalyed on the website. The winning work would become the Index Page of Site Specific during all the Site Specific @ Web group exhibition.

To partecipate, artists and designers had to send to indexpage@sitespecific.it 1 work in.jpg,.png,.bmp,.gif or in Html/Ascii language (animations, processings etc. included), a brief presentation of the work and a CV.

There were no limitations for the size and no partecipation fees requested.

Works were be valued by a jury of critics and curators expert in new media and net art, composed by Tatiana Bazzichelli, Mauro Ceolin, Corrado Mora, Domenico Quaranta and Valentina Tanni.

After the examination of the many artworks arrived, the Jury proclamed as winners ex aequo Hans Bernhard (UBERMORGEN.COM) with Psychotropic Drug Karaoke and MEZ [Mary-Anne Breeze] with _ID.Xorcism_.

Second classified, with a honourable mention for the webdesign, Stéphanie Boisset, who re-designed the entire sitespecific.it website.
